Alongside the development of Amitsoq, GreenRoc’s wider exploration ground offers opportunities to explore other graphite occurrences in the Nanortalik district.

This season, the team investigated known graphite showings southwest of Nanortalik. They observed a graphitic schist zone several metres thick exposed in outcrop, visually resembling the Amitsoq ore.

The comparison is a field observation. Appearance alone does not establish graphite content, which requires laboratory assays.

It is an encouraging observation from the wider exploration ground, adding first-hand geological information to help guide future prospecting alongside the continued development of Amitsoq.
